Proper Fractions
Proper Fraction is a fraction in which numerator is less than denominator.
Examples of proper fractions are `1/5`, `7/19`, `127/128`.
Note, that `5/5`, `8/7`, `125/3` are not proper fractions.
We saw example with cake, when talked about fractions. This is example of proper fractions.
Another example of proper fraction is when you divide rectangle into 7 parts and paint 5 parts: you paint `5/7`.
Since in proper fraction numerator is less than denominator then proper fraction is less than one.
